Most problems on the mesh come from nodes left on defaults. These settings keep traffic down so the routers, many of them solar powered, keep up.

* Don't leave traceroute running. Use it when you need it.
* Don't run telemetry or position on short intervals.
* Check what connected apps and tools are sending. Some send traceroutes on their own.
