== Three kinds of mesh ==

People in ScotMesh run three kinds of network, and many of us run more than one.

* '''MeshCore''' and '''Meshtastic''' are LoRa mesh systems: small radios that pass text messages between each other with no infrastructure. ScotMesh runs tools for them on [https://scotmesh.net scotmesh.net], such as a live map, packet analysis, coverage mapping and alerts.
* '''Reticulum''' is a networking stack rather than a radio system: it joins LoRa, the internet, I2P and anything else that can carry data into one encrypted network. See [[What Reticulum is]] and [[How Reticulum works]].
